I dunno how it happened. I dunno why it happened. I dunno how I coulda prevented it (if I even coulda). But my son is obsessed with trucks and wants to talk about them, watch them, ride them, drive them, push them, throw them, fling them, swing them, all of the time. 365 days a flippin year, it is trucks, trucks, holy moly trucks.

Big trucks. Small trucks. Smelly garbage trucks. Boring plain white trucks. Pick up trucks. Delivery trucks. Mail trucks. IT DONT MATTER. Did you know there are some dump trucks out there that can haul as much as 18 elephants in mass? WELL YOU DO NOW AND I KNOW THAT BECAUSE OF THE BOOK IVE READ 159085,45908345345345098435098345098435.333333 times (rough estimate).

There are these events in NOVA, probs all over, called “Touch a Truck” which is basically truck porn for kids my sons age. Basically, it is what it sounds like, you get to touch, sit in the front seat, push the horn, and run up and down the back of trucks until your toddler heart is CONTENT. Or until your toddler heart falls down in the back of the truck and cries and then you’re done…which ever comes first.

I woulda thought we would have to call the firefighters to actually yank him out of the firetrucks or the cop cars, but no, all he wanted to do was run up and down the back of an empty martins potato rolls tractor trailer truck… until another kid tried to steal his precious plastic fire hat off his head…then it got REAL and no longer childs play.
