Adding to the cray cray ness of our weekend of mothers day and baptisms and nats games, we piled on attending the University of Mary Washington’s graduation ceremony on Saturday. I honestly can’t believe that it’s already been a year since my graduation from GW last May and now it was Catherine and Robert’s turn! Honestly, to know I never have to wear one of those lovely cardboard hats again…is oh so satisfying :), but…yall looked great…I swear….honestly…ahem. š
Small schools= way awesomely laid back graduations. We strolled in a bit late (thanks 95s), and parked ourselves under this super large and in charge tree where the branches made a lil leafy tent, perfect for hiding baby from sunshine and an overabundance of strangers and sitting in uncomfy chairs for 3 hours. Felt a bit like a spy, snooping through the leaves to catch glimpses of the ceremony, but it mark it in the book of different experiences, “sat through a graduation like a keebler elf”.
Hard not to imagine Luke one day graduating…yes, we have to first get through a kindergarden graduation, heck even before that we gotta graduate to eating real food and so much more, but SOME DAY this will be happening…probably wearing a nice purple JMU gown…or ya know, wherever he wants to go…without any persuasions from mom…not a one… (fingers crossed behind back).

Way to go kiddos! Now the true fun of life begins…
I’m lying, stay in school forever. š
