You know you are a bit twisted when the one thing that pops into your head when you think about baptizing your baby is that song from the Book of Mormon “Baptize me” which is basically an innuendo for…other things. When we were looking to get Luke baptized, we realized we had a very tiny window before we wouldn’t be able to do it til he was like…much bigger, so when the idea of baptizing him on Mother’s day was brought up we thought…oh sure, that sounds like a hoot.
We’d met previously with our pastor so he could give us the run down, aka say “we do” three times after he asks us three questions and let him dribble some water on Lukey’s head and TA DA! He also told us to write Luke a letter about why we are having him baptized to give to him on the day he fully welcomes the Lord into his heart…we haven’t done this yet, but we WILL; intentional parenting here we come.
We are so thankful for all the family and friends who came by so early in the morning to be witnesses of this sweet event. He doesn’t know it yet, but he was really excited you were there too, so much so he didn’t nap like…at all…all day.
We love our Church and the people who make it so special; major thank you to Lauren Shannon for snapping pictures for us, and for helping us wrangle out lotsa family photos as well! I less than 3 you. (yea, this…<3)
I take no credit for the following photos:

Afterwards we transitioned to celebrating our moms with brunch and more baby…
These I take credit for :):
