All over pinterest are articles telling people how to take better pictures of their own children. I can sum up the advice for you…take pictures of them doing what they do…preferably without the obnoxious flash on and if possible…in focus. The portraits are great for sitting above fireplaces and giving to grandparents as presents, but my favorite pictures are basically what the gloriousness of pinterest suggests, lifestyle pics. Ya know the one’s I’m talking about, the ones that make you feel like you’re awkwardly intruding on peoples lives…yea…I creepily like those ones best too and take about 100 of those a day.
Buddy boy is starting to do A LOT these days. Mostly involving singing and making funny noises and starting to discover he can put things in his big gummy, drooly mouth. It is so fun to just sit and stare at him as he tries to figure this world out…that furrowed brow is hard at work. And so far, I’ve been able to capture just about all of it on film…sorry hard drive for making you work so hard…
These are just a few things I want to remember of our lil dude at 11 weeks old…
1. The way he lowers his head and hums when hes a bit tired during tummy time and puts things in his mouth…
2. The first time he was able to hold a toy in his two hands by himself…without me attaching it to him via velcro or something…

3. The first time he wore overalls…green ones…with a big giraffe on the front.
4. The way he tucks in his lower lip when he’s cheekily smiling.
5. Those big blue eyes and how they study EVERYTHING

6. The way he always politely folds his hands on top of each other

7. How much just staring at the black and white patterns in this book makes him giggle…
8. Lastly (as of today), how I still can’t tell what color your hair is, but that if we stick our tongue out at you you go insannnnneee with the smiles
