Today is Halloween….Boo. Halloween normally means dressing up and getting candy or what not, but instead of doing that, my friends and I opted for an evening of pizza and watching hocus pocus from the comfort of a leather couch. Since today is also my darling friend Katies birthday, I figured i’d make something halloweeny and sweet for the occasion…Cookies seemed too easy, cupcakes are too standard, so instead I turned to Tastykitchen.com and tried out one of their homepage Halloween desserts. Theirs turned out much prettier (since i don’t have a piping bag and I ran out of cupcake liners…womp), but they still tasted just as good:

Halloween Oreo Pumpkin Cheesecakes:
1. Organize ingredients:
2. Preheat oven to 325:
3.Place oreos in the cupcake tray and set aside (resist the urge to just eat them and scratch the whole recipe all together):
4. Add together cream cheese and sugar; mix:
5. Add in the rest of the ingredients:
6. Mix it all together; hello pumpkin orangey goodness:
8. Add a spoonful of the pumpkin cheesecake mix on top of the oreos:
9. Bake for 25 minutos:
10. Set out to cool, add melted chocolate to the tops of each (the swanky bakers make cobwebs outta the chocolate…I make a glob):
Like I said, mine were certainly not as pretty as the original recipe from tasty kitchen, but I think they were just as tasty, got a thumbs up from the hubs….even without the fancy cobweb chocolate decorations…
