Tippy Tap Tap

So fun tid bit of info, I tap dance. Surprised? heh, shouldn’t be, my legs and feet are always moving or tapping or doing something, it’s rare that I don’t hear a song and start putting together 8 count steps to choruses or something in my head, but anyways… I took a break for about 3 years, but now I’m back dancing at the same studio that taught me to shuffle ball change and point my toes and not have spaghetti arms since I was 4 years old. I stand next to the teachers who have watched me grow to the big tree height that I am today, it’s weird to think back on all those years and all those classes and truly comprehend how quickly time flies… because to be honest…they all look the same  to me, even though I’ve changed a bit.

Main reason I came back this year, which may very well be my last year ever, is because its Miss Bettie’s 50th dance recital…she’s only 60 something…and if you do the math, she started the studio when she was a teenager and along side her were Miss Lynn and Miss Daphne…who are still with her today, shes kinda a BAMF and people like BAMF’s …obviously. Two years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer and the entire studio wished and prayed and just hoped that she would make it to the 50th anniversary; well we are here, and I’m here with them, standing right where I did 3 years ago..in the middle…next to Miss Lisa and Lara. I’ve noticed my brain isn’t as quick as it used to be, but my feet are starting to wake up again, I was a bit nervous the first week back, that triple-time-step seemed quicker then it used to… but i’m back to normal now :P.Thank goodness.

Because I’m feeling nostalgic:
